Workshop Title:  Alien Invasion: Plants on the Move! How do invasive plants impact Oregon forests?

Alien Invasion: Plants on the Move workshop will be held December 5, 2009 from 9 am-3pm at Mountain View Elementary School in Corvallis, Oregon. We will take a watershed look on how invasive plants impacts Oregon’s forests, prairies and wetlands. Come explore hands-on lessons from BLM’s Alien Invasion: Plants on Move Curriculum and Project Learning Tree Environmental Education Activity Guide that will engage students in learning about local invasive species and their issues. This workshop is offered in partnership with Benton Soil & Water Conservation District, OSU Extension Benton County 4-H Wildlife Stewards Program and Oregon Natural Resources Education Program. Curriculum provided by ONREP and BS&WCD Cost for this workshop is $10 which covers lunch and supplementary supplies.
